International Volunteer Recognition Day 2026 was Awards marked in Dublin with the sixth edition of the HELP Awards, hosted by the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin to recognise community service across Ireland. The ceremony drew volunteers, civic figures, human rights advocates and past awardees for a celebration of service to others.
Previous awardee Frank Allen, playwright, director and former Dublin Prisons teacher, delivered a keynote address during the ceremony. Those honoured this year included Walk And Talk represented by Stephen Brennan, the Kurdish Community of Ireland represented by Mokthar Moradi, the Indonesian-Irish Association represented by Irene Murphy, Scoil Rince Ní Áogain represented by Denise Egan, Nicolae Dulea, Joseph Orgin and Feljose Shristeca, Stefano Bonvini, Mohammed Rashid of Safco Fine Foods, Mass Events Ireland, Dr. Mahesh Baj and Neera Baj.
Founded in 2019 by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, the HELP Awards recognise people and organisations making a difference through volunteer action. The event also highlighted the wider mission of the Scientology Volunteer Minister programme, created by author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, through which trained volunteers respond to social challenges and assist communities. The event celebrated the impact of volunteerism and the value of practical community support.
